Chemistry
I had the fortune of using this Chemistry revision guide as I was studying for my Chemistry HL exams. The study guide is for the 2009 IB Chem syllabus. It is extremely concise and describes all of the ten core units extremely well. The HL material is displayed alongside the SL material, but each HL section has a special HL logo so you do not get confused. The study guide hits almost all of the syllabus points exactly, especially for the longer description questions.
It also has questions at the end of each unit which are extremely like IB questions, since the author has experience as an examiner.
The options section is extremely detailed; you could basically use this study guide as your primary source for many options! I did Human Biochemistry and Medicines and Drugs and I found the study guide extremely useful for clearing up some of the more complex concepts like uses of penicillin. It is invaluable for some of the social effects questions.
I would most definitely recommend this revision guide to any IB Chem student even if they are just starting IB because the concise descriptions in this study guide will be useful for any test.
Wish I had come across this site sooner–I have two sons taking their SL exams in a few weeks. Your review for the Chem guide is good–wish you had on for the other guides.
Thanks.
how do you tell the school you want to do IB
as a result, which is the best IB school for Grade 7′s and 8″s in scarborough or markham
Hey Selena: I would ask the board of education / your local elementary school. Unfortunately I don’t have any information about the GTA.
