Brian

Howdy! As you may have guessed, I'm Brian, the administrator of Intense Cogitation. I do all of the backend management and a majority of the writing on the website. I was a May 2010 IB Diploma candidate, and I ended up with 40 points. Overall, I'd say my experiences in the IB were some of the best I've ever had in my life, despite the hardships, the all-nighters and the never-ending mountain of homework. Any questions or comments? Let me know!

As you can see, I’ve begun a new Youtube channel for the purpose of streaming my 1v1 Starcraft 2 matches in 1v1 mode. When this video was recorded, I was just in bronze, so I was trying to improve my game to get into silver. In this video, I am the red Protoss in the [...Read more...]

IB Chemistry Study Guide

For all of you lucky IB students out there, the May 2011 exams will be upon you on 9 May and 10 May 2011. The Chemistry syllabus, for both Standard Level and Higher Level, is extremely concept-heavy and thus needs a lot of memorization. If you were in a class like mine, and did not [...Read more...]

How are the exams going for you IBers? Leave a comment! NB: If your comment has information about a specific exam, it will not be approved until everyone in the examination session around the world has already finished writing their exam (ie. 24 hour rule).

Revising for finals: a tested strategy

This is a work in progress. If you have any suggestions, tips, or good study strategies, leave a comment! For many International Baccalaureate students, university students and high school students, final examinations (and/or mock examinations) are on the horizon. Faced with this seemingly insurmountable mountain of knowledge, what are us mere students to do? Fear [...Read more...]
