Brian

Howdy! As you may have guessed, I'm Brian, the administrator of Intense Cogitation. I do all of the backend management and a majority of the writing on the website. I was a May 2010 IB Diploma candidate, and I ended up with 40 points. Overall, I'd say my experiences in the IB were some of the best I've ever had in my life, despite the hardships, the all-nighters and the never-ending mountain of homework. Any questions or comments? Let me know!

I recently re-watched “The Time Traveler’s Wife” with a couple of friends of mine, and I really enjoyed the song that was played at the wedding dance about halfway through the movie. I remembered that “love will tear us apart” was repeated a lot, so I went home and Googled. Luckily I managed to find [...Read more...]

The $1000 iPhone App

According to MacRumors, a 11 year-old in Northern California managed to get a hold of his mom’s iPod Touch, and download the $999.99 Barmax App, which is apparently “the only complete bar exam prep course” for the bar exam. (no, not bartending… law) The app is also apparently 1015 GB. What the heck?! Apparently, the [...Read more...]

Judge Arnot, commissioner of the Commission, was [...Read more...]

Comic of the Day: Google Maps

After reading this, I have decided to continue worshipping the Google Maps team so they do not lead me astray. I hope my faith in the invulnerable, unassailable and omnipotent Google can save me from such a situation. Source: xkcd
