According to MacRumors, a 11 year-old in Northern California managed to get a hold of his mom’s iPod Touch, and download the $999.99 Barmax App, which is apparently “the only complete bar exam prep course” for the bar exam. (no, not bartending… law)

The app is also apparently 1015 GB. What the heck?!

Apparently, the iPod did not display the prompt for confirming app installation, so the kid was able to install it without his mom’s permission. Mom was of course shocked, and had to email/phone Apple to get a full refund.

Sounds like an elaborate prank by her son. I mean, who would possibly be interested in a law iPod app? Evidently he was attracted by the ridiculous price tag. (Or maybe this was all a setup by the creators of the iPod app to get attention…)
